The aim was to create such a tool that will facilitate the person´s communication with the others and also helps to create the overview of activities of the day and week. This is realised with the help of so called daily and weekly regimes with the use of symbols and own photos. The function of regimes is applicable mainly witch the children with PAS but undoubtedly it can be used for children generally. It is an application which is designed mainly for the users (children, eventually also adults) who suffer from major disturbance of communication skills, we also highly recommend it for children with autism spectrum disorders and to persons with mental disorders.We recommend to use Speech Mate AAK also as a supporting tool in the educational process. In the process of development of this application we always had on mind that the use must be intuitive and easy. Speech Mate AAK is designed for the users to help them reach maximum self-sufficiency with its functions.

The application contains three essential functions:
*Sentence bar with symbols in relevant categories
*The option to create ones Daily/Weekly regime with a portrait
*Teaching module

1) The sentence strip with symbols in relevant categories:
The user inputs selected symbols and photos to the sentence bar, they are read loud after a click on the reproductor icon. The symbols can be removed one by one from the bar or they can be deleted all in once. Also the keyboard can be used to write input into the sentence bar.

2) The option to create ones Daily/Weekly regime:
This funcion creates a basic variable regime for the day or week consisting of the user´s portrait, the app symbols or user´s own photos. It is possible to add reminder time for each relevant activity. It is a digital version of the regimes/schedules that are generally used mainly with the children with PAS.

3) Teaching module:
The child is encouraged to use prefixes (e.g. I + do want or do not want) together with symbols added to the sentence bar. The aim is to make using of fluent sentences automatic for the child and to lead the child to use fluent sentences himself in the future. The parent or other caring person choose himself whether it is appropriate to set the teaching module for the child/user.

Speech Mate AAK enables to create a functional and practical AAK tool of every device, a tool that will be always with the user. The aim is to make user´s communication with the others as easy as possible and at the same time to create a digital version of the daily/weekly regime on the portable device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.). The symbol names are adjusted to the common language so that they keep their meaning either alone or used in a sentence. Our priority is that the user and also the others understand what they read (hear), so the foreign expressions were transcripted to spoken English.
